How the Paywall Works
Reader Visits
A non-subscriber arrives at an article. NewsPro checks their read count for the past 30 days (tracked by user ID, session, and IP). If they're within the free limit, full access is granted.
Limit Reached
When the reader exceeds their free article limit, the article body is truncated to 30% and a gradient overlay appears. A progress bar shows how many free articles they've used.
Convert to Subscriber
The paywall overlay shows your custom message, a list of subscriber benefits, and two buttons: "Subscribe Now" and "Sign In". Subscribers who sign in are immediately granted full access.
Promotional Modes
Inline Mid-Article Promo
A subscription promotion is injected after the 3rd paragraph for non-subscribers. Shows your plans with pricing and a subscribe button — right in the reading flow, before the paywall hits.
Sticky Banner
A persistent banner at the top of the page showing your subscription plans. Stays visible as the reader scrolls — a constant reminder to upgrade without being disruptive.
Paywall Overlay
When the free limit is reached, a gradient overlay covers the remaining article content. Lock icon, custom message, benefits list, and CTA buttons. Clean and conversion-focused.
