Cloud Storage & CDN

Serve your media from 8 global cloud providers. Faster load times, unlimited storage headroom, and zero-egress CDN delivery.

Storing media on your server works fine until it doesn't — disk fills up, delivery is slow for readers in other countries, and backups get complicated. NewsPro's cloud storage integration solves all of this: connect any of 8 major providers, and every uploaded file (and all its cache variants) is automatically uploaded to the cloud, served via CDN, and removed from local storage. No code. No DevOps.

  • 8 cloud providers: Cloudflare R2, Bunny.net, AWS S3, GCS, DigitalOcean Spaces, Wasabi, Backblaze B2, Azure
  • Automatic upload of originals and all cache variants to cloud
  • Local file deleted after successful cloud upload
  • Custom CDN endpoint URL override
  • Per-tenant storage isolation — tenants/ID/ prefix
  • Per-tenant storage quota with email alerts at 80%, 95%, 100%
  • One active provider at a time — switch with zero downtime
  • Secure credential storage — never exposed in source code
  • All 8 providers support file deletion (no orphaned files)

Azure Blob Storage

Microsoft Azure's enterprise blob storage with global redundancy. SharedKey authentication. Ideal for publishers running in Azure infrastructure.

How Cloud Storage Works

1

Connect Your Provider

Go to Platform Admin → Storage, select your provider, enter your credentials (bucket name, access key, secret). Save. That's the entire setup.

2

Files Upload Automatically

Every new upload is automatically processed locally (resized, transcoded), then all variants are uploaded to cloud storage. The local copies are deleted after successful upload.

3

CDN Delivers to Readers

All media URLs in your articles and templates point to the cloud CDN. Readers worldwide get the nearest edge copy — fast, regardless of where your server is.

Common Questions

For most publishers, Cloudflare R2 (zero egress fees) or Bunny.net (fastest CDN) are the top picks. Both offer excellent performance and competitive pricing. Wasabi and Backblaze B2 are the most affordable for pure storage.

Yes. You can migrate to a new provider at any time. Existing URLs will continue to work if you keep the old provider active during migration. NewsPro supports switching with no downtime.

No. Local storage works perfectly for small to medium sites. Cloud storage is recommended when your media library grows large, you need global CDN delivery, or you want to offload disk usage from your server.

Each site's storage usage is tracked in real time. You can see how much you've used vs. your quota in the media library. Platform-level quota alerts are sent at 80%, 95%, and 100% via email.
